WiseSec to Demonstrate Bluetooth-based Mobile Cash Access with Diebold ATM Hardware and Software Supporting "Tap-for-Cash" Capability Across Android and iOS platforms in the MWC 2016

YOKNE'AM, Israel, February 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

WiseSec, an Israel-based security technology company, will be demonstrating an innovative approach to mobile payments and ATM access at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. By utilizing Bluetooth-based communications technology, WiseSec will showcase how banks can deliver a mobile cash access capability under the bank's own brand for users of both Android and iOS-based smartphones. This capability will be demonstrated on the MWC show floor using Diebold ATM hardware and software technologies.

Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD) will be assisting WiseSec at MWC in demonstrating this unique capability on the Diebold 5500 Series ATM and the VISTA multi-vendor terminal software suite. WiseSec and Diebold representatives will be available at MWC to demonstrate the technology at the WiseSec booth located in Hall 5, Stand 5D81.

While Near Field Communication (NFC) technology delivers fast and efficient "tap-and-pay" capabilities for Android devices, banks have thus far been unable to deliver a truly branded experience for their iOS customers. WiseSec technology enables banks to deliver the same type of branded client experience across all leading smartphone platforms enabling banks to support their customers' device of choice while delivering the security expected from their primary financial institution.

"We are thrilled to demonstrate this unique capability to MWC attendees and to be working with a leader in the industry such as Diebold who rapidly built a solution based on the WiseSec technology that is currently in production with a mutual client," said Guy Frak, WiseSec Executive Vice President of International Business.

"Diebold has been integrating mobile technology into the ATM since 2013 and we continue to explore new and innovative approaches," says Douglas Hartung, Diebold Director of Global Software Strategy & Research. "From Silicon Valley to Silicon Alley to the extraordinary innovation coming from Israeli companies such as WiseSec, we continue to push the envelope in demonstrating a path towards truly integrated omnichannel experiences for our customers."

Apart from the unique ATM capabilities, WiseSec will display additional capabilities including management systems, customer experiences based on location in closed precincts, secure payment systems via smartphone technology Plug & Pay, smart cash register, opening door locks using a smartphone instead of a key, and more. One of the unique patents of the Israeli company is a technology that allows a direct connection between the Bluetooth interface and NFC and RFID Terminal, a unique international solution, made in Israel, which allows for phones that do not support NFC technologies to communicate with them.
