"We're committed to helping our CSP partners and customers alike position themselves effectively in today's extraordinarily competitive and fast-moving market," said Roy Timor-Rousso, General Manager, fring Alliance. "The Alliance is more than a Rich Communications Services platform that mobile operators can leverage to offer their own white-label solutions– it's also a rapid service creation and revenue engine for differentiated, high-quality experiences users are willing to pay for."

The revenue engine applications demoed at Mobile World Congress include a range of experiences that simplify and enhance end-users' lives:

  • Federation: contacts, calling and messaging across platforms and carriers
  • Payment transfer: transfer money between accounts or from accounts to services
  • Advertising: strategic in-app advertising options, and
  • User created multimedia content including Slidely and Stitch greeting cards

CSPs can utilize these applications to enhance the relationship with their subscriber base while providing high-end, secure and flexible experiences. Additionally, fring Alliance members can leverage two different levels of applications based on their market needs and development resources:

  • Macro apps, which have either been developed or validated by the fring team, and are available to all fring Alliance members to white label and offer to their base;
  • Micro apps, developed by individual operators on the Kandy.io real time communications Platform as a Service (PaaS), which these operators can retain for their exclusive use or market to other fring Alliance members.
