As Featured at the MWC, Servicefriend is Participating in a Joint Expansion of the Google RCS Messaging Platform

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Servicefriend, a young company, specializing in disruptive innovation, that enables brands to deliver consistently excellent messaging experience at scale, is joining Google's Early Access Program for RCS (Rich Communications Services) business messaging. Servicefriend announced today that it will be making RCS messages available to all its clients, and, thus, allowing millions of consumers a seamless experience via their preferred communication channel.

In early 2016, Google joined the industry initiative for RCS messaging on Android alongside a number of global operators and device makers. The GSMA-led program is designed to create an SMS-style cross-operator communications service bringing additional features to the mix, such as group-messaging, texting over Wi-Fi, IP voice calls, read-receipts, and file-sharing — similar to messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. In effect, RCS is like a next-gen SMS that mimics all the best features of modern IP messaging services.

Globe Telecom (Singtel Group) is the first company to offer Servicefriend's Hybrid-AI using the new protocol, and, earlier this year, Facebook.com published the first case study of the Hybrid-AI experience created by Servicefriend for Globe Telecom.
