Hotshot, a Leader in Secure, Compliant Messaging and Collaboration, Named Finalist for 2019 SC Magazine Trust Award
Hotshot recognized for enabling businesses to easily meet demands of regulations such as GDPR, SEC, HIPAA, ITAR in addition to EU and US labor laws

PLANO, Texas, Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Hotshot announced the company has been named a finalist as Best Mobile Security Solution by SC Magazine for the 2019 Trust Awards.

Now in their 22nd year, the SC Trust Awards are recognized as the industry gold standard of accomplishment for cybersecurity professionals, products and services. Finalists were chosen by an expert panel of judges with extensive knowledge and experience in the cybersecurity industry. Winners will be announced at the SC Awards gala on March 5, 2019 in San Francisco.

Hotshot launched in early 2018, enabling businesses to easily and affordably address a combination of complex security, compliance and labor laws in North America and the European Union with an easy-to-deploy app and patent-pending location-and-time-based encryption technology.  Hotshot founder and CEO Aaron Turner is a cybersecurity veteran with decades of experience in solving the most challenging compliance and security issues for organizations from Microsoft to the US Department of Defense.

Mr. Turner commented on the company's achievement upon returning from the International Cybersecurity Forum's FIC 2019 conference in Lille, France, "Our first year has been remarkable.  There is strong demand and interest in the Hotshot solution across the globe, our user base continues to grow consistently, and being honored as a finalist for the prestigious SD Trust Award a great validation of our team's hard work."

As he watched the security, compliance and labor law landscapes converge at a stunning pace, Mr. Turner recognized the market's need for a solution built on a zero-trust platform to address all three critical areas.  Hotshot utilizes easy-to-manage location-based and time-based controls that businesses can use to control data access and communication, along with the ability to claw-back data as needed from employees or former team members.

In the age of the "gig economy" and open collaboration, this solution is an important new way for global businesses to comply with GDPR, meet regulatory requirements within their industries, and adhere to labor laws in Europe and North America.

Hotshot is also poised for rapid global expansion through a strategic partnership announced in 2018 with the Government of Luxembourg and their acceptance into the Technoport® ltd. business incubation program, a technology-oriented business incubator and business support infrastructure developed by the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade. The Technoport partnership will enable Hotshot to benefit from many incentives, subsidies and beneficial tax treatment for its newly-launched European operations and sales and it geographically positions Hotshot for expansion into other EU nations in need of their solution.

In addition to participating in the International Cybersecurity Forum in France this week, Hotshot will be at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain Feb 25-28 and RSA 2019 in San Francisco March 4-8.
