Simgo Invited to join exclusive Intel Ingenuity Partner Program

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Simgo®, the world's only virtual eSIM cloud-platform (vSIM™) operator for cellular devices, announced at Mobile World Congress today that former CEO of Yahoo! Japan and former director of Softbank during its meteoric growth, Masahiro Inoue, has joined Simgo's board of directors. The company also announced it is a 2016 partner in the Intel® Ingenuity Partner Program, which carefully selects a group of startups that are chosen for their vision, innovative technology, and potential to create transformative solutions and products.

"We are deeply honored and incredibly excited to have Masahiro Inoue join us as a director. His wildly successful record as an entrepreneur and innovator will bring prescience, wisdom and experience to Simgo," said Avi Ben-Shlush, co-founder and CEO at Simgo. "His deep industry knowledge, insights and relationships are opening new doors and opportunities for us; and his experience managing explosive growth is invaluable."

Inoue, an internet and telecoms pioneer, founded Yahoo! Japan in 1996 and presided over persistent year-on-year sales and profit growth throughout his 15-year tenure. Under his direction, Yahoo! Japan became the dominant portal and most powerful internet company in Japan. Mr. lnoue's success also occurred against the extended Japanese recession at a time when tech stocks were performing very poorly worldwide. In 2001 Inoue joined the board of Softbank, the dominant IT service-provider in Japan and mobile network operator. He was instrumental in Softbank's acquisition of Vodafone Japan and responsible for taking Softbank from the number 4 to the number 2 operator in Japan behind NTT DoCoMo.

"Simgo's platform is the most exciting disruptor of mobile telecoms services I've seen since the introduction of the iPhone," said Inoue. "I'm thrilled to join the Simgo family and be part of redefining the mobile space."

Simgo Chief Innovation Officer Eyal Shmueli said, "Having Masa join our board is an incredible development for us, proving momentum for Simgo on top of both the recent invitation to join Intel's Innovation Partner Program, as well as our first place win in the Mobile Enterprise Innovation category of the 2015 CTIA MobiTS awards."

Simgo will be demonstrating it's award-winning vSIM™ product range at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona February 22-25, in Hall 5, Stand 5D81 and in the Intel Booth at 4YFN. To schedule a meeting, click here or go to https://simgo.typeform.com/to/mqDHuD
