AccuWeather Provides Forecasts with Superior Accuracy for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge Devices and Accompanying Services
Exciting new personalized weather experiences, partnered with revolutionary smartphone devices, to be available to users.

AccuWeather Global Weather Center – February 22, 2016 AccuWeather, the global leader in weather information and digital media, today announced it will power the preloaded weather content available on the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The Galaxy S7 edge device will offer users a completely redesigned weather experience on Samsung’s revolutionary curved-screen edge technology, making it easier and intuitive to access AccuWeather’s timely, relevant, and accurate weather information at all times. Both devices will also feature a brand new world clock interface that includes current weather conditions for cities around the world.

“AccuWeather is proud to partner with Samsung, providing users with an easy and intuitive weather experience on new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge devices,” said Steven Smith, AccuWeather Chief Digital Officer. “We are committed to providing Samsung users worldwide the weather information they need with Superior Accuracy™, ensuring they receive personalized and actionable weather updates to improve their lives.”

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge feature a weather widget, which is powered by AccuWeather’s content and is instantly accessible from the device home screen. AccuWeather also supports Samsung's S-Health™ health management tool as well as Samsung's Calendar tool which are all included on the device.

In addition to preloaded weather content, AccuWeather has implemented Samsung’s multiscreen capabilities, making it easy for Galaxy device users to stream AccuWeather’s weather maps and content on Samsung TVs. AccuWeather also created a specialized weather app for Samsung’s edge devices, available exclusively through Samsung Galaxy Apps. The AccuWeather app for edge devices is displayed along the curved edge of the device and includes weather information such as current weather conditions, forecast for the next hour, severe weather alerts, as well as AccuWeather’s patented MinuteCast® which shows precipitation type and intensity, as well as start and end times for precipitation by the minute for the next two hours, localized to the exact GPS location.

AccuWeather and Samsung have partnered for more than seven years to bring Samsung users the world's most accurate weather news and information through a wide range of Samsung's best-selling devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Gear, SmartThings and Galaxy Note devices. Users of the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge devices will have quick and easy access to the most accurate weather information they need worldwide.

The Android App is available for download at Samsung Galaxy Apps
