JERUSALEM, Dec. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As the leading provider of full-stack hardware, software, and services solutions for remote monitoring of critical infrastructure and the environment, Ayyeka was selected as one of 12 participants for the ChallengeUp! IoT Accelerator co-sponsored by Deutsche Telekom, Intel, and Cisco. Ayyeka was chosen from an applicant pool of more than 300 companies working in the Internet of Things (IoT) space across 40 countries in the EMEAR region.
Ayyeka spent six months in the ChallengeUp! program working with mentors from the three corporates from different business units, functional practices, and countries in the EMEAR region. The company developed a joint use case leveraging Ayyeka's cyber-secure Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions with technologies from the corporates. In addition, the company engaged numerous prospects and strategic partners and began to define a roadmap for joint sales.
Ayyeka now supports Deutsche Telekom's global SIM cards to provide connectivity from its low-power, fully-autonomous Wavelet edge devices to collect any type of data from any sensor to any software platform. The company also delivers back-end integration with Cisco ServiceGrid. This cross-platform integration can be leveraged to support multi-sourced service delivery for response to critical conditions monitored by Ayyeka's Wavelet edge devices as well as for routine sensor and device maintenance.
In addition to ChallengeUp!, Ayyeka was recently selected as one of 20 participants in the hub:raum Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) Prototyping Hub Program. As the accelerator arm connecting technology companies with Deutsche Telekom, hub:raum works from offices in Berlin, Krakow, and Tel Aviv to identify and support some of the most innovative startups and growth-stage companies.
Angus Emery, the Senior M2M/IoT Pre Sales & Programme Manager – Europe, notes that "it has been an absolute pleasure mentoring Ayyeka in both the ChallengeUp! and NB-IoT Prototyping Hub Programs in 2016. Our Deutsche Telekom Programs may be drawing to a close, but it is important for me to keep in close contact with Ayyeka and support them and work with them far into the future. I truly believe Ayyeka will be mega-success."
Through the NB-IoT Prototyping Hub Program, Ayyeka will be among the world's first IoT device makers to transmit sensor data over the NB-IoT network. Deutsche Telekom will be featuring Ayyeka at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain from February 27th through March 2nd, 2017. Come visit us at the Deutsche Telekom stand in the exhibition hall.
