Barcelona Activa, the local economic promotion agency of Barcelona City Council, will accompany 20 start-ups at the 4YFN 2022 (Four Years From Now) event to make known different entrepreneurial projects promoted from its incubators and support programmes.
On Monday, 28th February at 11am at the 4YFN Discovery Stage, the 20 selected start-ups will take part in the pitching session presenting their solutions to the audience. These fall into various category areas of activity such as the creative industries, mobility, health, food and deeptech and include B2B and B2C business models.
The start-ups you will find in this year's edition are:
Start-ups are either in the Barcelona Activa incubators or participate in some of the programmes, for example, TiccMobility is a participant in Sportstech, or others such as Eos Connectivity or Oxeen, are participants in business promotion programmes such as the Preincubation or Preacceleration programmes, respectively.
Showroom, roundtables and daily activities at the trade fair
In addition to accompanying about twenty start-ups, Barcelona Activa organises within the 4YFN different roundtables on investment trends, scientific entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurs, among others. Furthermore, from the stand that Barcelona Activa will have at the fair, we will be offering a showroom space of products from some of the start-ups of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the city.
Barcelona is the third preferred European city for start-ups, and the seventh as a hub for attracting investment in technology. Barcelona Activa has been accompanying start-ups to do major transformations over the years since the first edition of 4YFN. And it has been supporting entrepreneurial initiatives for more than three decades.
In 2021, Barcelona City Council’s agency attended 9,183 entrepreneurs and supported 1,671 projects. The municipal agency also offers training in topics that you need to know when starting up a business. Over the last year, more than 3,000 people have been trained through these courses.
